About Us

Faith Christian Centre is a vibrant new church in Newport, South Wales. The church was founded following a clear word from the Lord to Pastors Michael and Carol Taplin, during a mission trip to Alaska in January 2004.

Faith Christian Centre is a Bible believing, non denominational church where the Holy Spirit is welcome and the miraculous is expected. Week by week, signs and wonders follow the preaching of the Word.

We are part of Churches Together in Newport (www.newportchurches.com) and have a passion to see unity in the Body of Christ.

All services are recorded on CD and are available at a small cost for production and postage.

Our Vision

• To create an environment where, first and foremost, the Holy Spirit knows He is welcome and able to manifest the glory of God.
• To be a body who corporately seeks God through praise, worship, prayer, and the Word of God.
• To be a body that encourages and seeks to enable each member to reach their full potential and fulfill their destiny.
• To encourage each member to be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit, so that individually and corporately we are fulfilling the Great Commission, to reach the lost, win them for Christ and make them disciples.
• To prayerfully seek God for the anointing to share the message of Christ, in an appropriate method to reach different age, ethnic and interest groups.
• In all things to be a centre of excellence, operating in the God kind of love, with a spirit of holiness and integrity.

Statement of Faith

• We believe in one God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that He is the creator of all things.
• We believe that Jesus is the Word of God made flesh, that He was born of the virgin Mary, was crucified, died, was buried, then was resurrected and is now seated at the right hand of God.
• We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it is infallible.
• We believe in the necessity of personal salvation by faith in Jesus the Christ and that His shed blood has the perpetual power to cleanse us from all confessed sin.
• We believe the personal acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour to be the only access to eternal life in heaven.
• We believe in the necessity of every believer to be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit and that every believer should flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and have evidence of the fruit of the Spirit in their everyday lives.
• We believe that the full benefits of salvation - healing, deliverance, prosperity, peace and wholeness are available for every Christian.
• We believe that there is a day when Jesus Christ will return to the earth.
• We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and that every knee will bow to Him.
